Hi Jerry, why is it the hosting club's business if an entrant has ambulance cover?

because J-man is an Ambo

Hi Jerry, why is it the hosting club's business if an entrant has ambulance cover?

I guess cause if someone has a major incident and has an ambulance called on their behalf but isn't a member that person may try to hold the club financially responsible for his/her treatment and transport?? This requirement is becoming the norm many places and rightly so..

Thank you Al. Ted it is VCM rule that Ambulance membership is compulsory. This ensures neither VCM (which is a register not a club)or host club is hit for cost of ambulance attendance and / or transport which can run into thousands of dollars, particularly if helicopter is required.

Makes sense.

What if it's bundled in your health insurance?  I double checked mine last week and it's definitely in there.  What proof would be sufficient?

Your policy number or your word will be sufficient.

It is compulsory for all forms of racing/practice under MA/MV rules.

There have been cases where ambulances have been called & the rider has refused to pay because "he" didn't call it &, as stated earlier, the bill has been passed to the hosting club/land owner.

It makes sense to have it. Personally I think it should be included in your medicare levy when you pay tax.

Hey am hopefully going to make it to the next round at Undera if I can get my comp licence sorted in time.
I have an evo bike and will run "evo non expert" how many rounds would we do?
Would it be better too enter 2 classes?

Awesome day! Was sad to see so many bikes have mechanical dramas but was great fun and the track was pretty well perfect. The 125 went well on its maiden ride but took some serious getting used too. Cheers also to the Baker clan for a great weekend
