It's an 84/85 tank, FWIW.
They've got a bit of extra capacity on the LHS, below the horizontal 'seam'.

not real sure, it could be its got 58/4 printed on the bottom but no manufacture clock/date like say yamaha

It is, I promise.
The 83 tank is flat across the bottom on the LHS side.
Totally interchangable, either way.

Nathan is correct, that's an '84/'85 KDX200 tank.
