Hi guys newbie from UK, I have just started to restore a YZ490 j  so busy stripping her down, cleaning, painting etc also trawling the net e.bay etc for bits and info......

Welcome aboard Steve, you'll find plenty of great advice and info here. Just watch that old bike and ebay thing, it's addictive!!!
