CanAm370 (Paul) will have the answers for you, been wrecking them for years and no doubt riding plenty.  The only advice I can offer you is, buy a TENERE instead!! :P ;D ;)

That's a steal! You'll punt that pretty quick I'd reckon, the new Strom 1000 launches in aus this month, will be interesting to see if its a true competitor in its class or not. Considering its 100% nothing like its fat, bulky, unsightly earlier incarnation it should stand a fleeting chance of being looked at by serious adventurers....time will tell.

Cheers, Brendan

gear lever

You got that bit right Brendan, just wana know the stock length,I am wanting a hammerhead lever & have been told they fit my elsinore, just not sure what length tip to order,so i need a starting point for comparison ;)

Done a fair bit of ADV riding back in 97, 2 mates & 1 c#ckhead (Funny how you really get to know someone after spending a few days in there pocket ;)) & myself all rode big tank trailys all over the shop including shepparton to the Birdsville races & back, great fun :) (apart from old mate ;)0

Sorry mate. Wasn't having a go at you. I pretty much only ever ride alone these days for the same reason. At least there's ever only one cockhead to deal with!  ;D

Maybe it's Charley and Ewen's fault, but most 1200GS's I've seen have been loaded like the one above.  ::)

Done the protoyype for the Suzuki  and the Yamaha  and set up or serviced  a few World travelers on BM .  When it comes to handling , resale value and reliability , the BM wins hands down .

Maybe true, but still not enough reason to own a bike that will have your peers constantly questioning your sexuality ;D ;D ;)

I own a 1200GS and would be happy to help if I can.

And the only bike better than a 1200gs is a R80G/S PD :)
