Hi All, ;D
If I can find the time I'm going try and get my 125A ready for EVO at the Post Classic Nats.
I've got a new set of side covers and rebuilt shocks to go on.
Every time I tell someone I'm putting remote reservoir shocks on they say they were only an option on B models.
Just wanted to provide the following to show the shocks were an option for the A

Hi, I have RM125B, are you allowed to race pre 78 in the Evo class at Post Classics? If so, I will as I have an Evo 250 and this would give me more riding time. I probably wouldn't be too competitive against EVO 125's but just keen to have a run.

Evo is not a year based class. Ride what ever age bike you like as long as it complies with the rules. As it's Post Classic there is no issue with riding up a class as you can't race pre 78 etc at these nationals.

YZAT you can ride your pre78 bike in EVO, it wont be that far off the pace, infact Teddy's boy who won last years Aussie pre78 125 title is riding the same bike in EVO125.

It is very sad when a National Champion, namely Liam Beverly, who is also Heaven Club champion with a clean sweep of the EVO 250, EVO all powers and 4 stroke <250cc classes over 2013 (in which he regularly streeted all the XR500 etc on an '81 XR200) is referred to as Teddy's boy. This young guy needs to be recognised as the Champion he is and would have won the title on just about any bike in the field. Ted's bike is a nice thing but I do believe it was 80% rider.
How do we expect younger riders to join our sport if they are not even given the respect and consideration their achievement deserves? I am not detracting from Ted's generosity in offering his excellent bike just that Liam deserves the accolades. As we know the bike is not the most significant part of wining MX at any level.
I realise that you may not know the young guys name but your post IMO shows a disregard that you would not like to see reciprocated if you were the rider.

I take offence as been refferd too as Ted boy as well. Liam is great young bloke who is exactly the right type of young bloke this sport needs.
Back to shock issue. Gazzi make a great pre 78 shocks for your RM A

Lets get one thing straight. I didn't say that and never have. I have known and respected Liam, his brother Jarrod, his parents, Bob and Tracie and grandparents, Mick and Chris ever since they came to the Heaven club years ago. They are some of the hardest workers in our club.
In defence of the guy that did, a mate of mine, absolutely no malice was, is or will be intended. In fact he has helped both Liam and I immeasurably.
As far as encouraging, helping and even supplying bikes to younger riders, ( which there are two,) is concerned, youse two know I do my utmost to promote young guys to come through the Heaven ranks and hopefully be involved in later life, often at the angst of others that feel that it's THEIR sport.
In fact I could have said to my deceased nephew's 12 year old son, " it's all over mate. They've deemed your XR 100 too dangerous to ride in Juniors on man made MX tracks." Despite the fact the kid had never ridden before and in his first race got lapped by the entire field in a two lap race. By seasons end the races were three laps and no one got close to lapping him. So I went and bought him a compliant ::) bike, 1984 YZ 80.
To some it may seem that DC is not showing the young bloke any respect. Believe me he is.

Firstly this is my own personal view and not that of the Heaven VMX club. I should have known better than to post an expression of a personal point of view under the HeavenVMX name. It shall not happen again.
As you know Ted I have your number if I need it. If you read my first post I did not and would not refer to you ever indicating anything but good about Liam. I do object to someone referring to anyone as Teddy's Boy or Greg's Boy or whoever's Boy in the context used. The second post is tongue in cheek hence the little symbols but I shall delete it as it has obviously not come across that way.
There seems a double standard has developed on this forum where some people can and do ‘say’ whatever they like in whatever tone and style they like but then become all humble and offended when others voice their opinion.
I don’t care what you refer to your apprentices as but applaud you for training young people in a trade.
WE as you so royally state did not deem an XR100 too dangerous for anything that is the MA rules which we have to enforce. Thank you for finally enlightening me in the folly of my pursuits. I think I am pretty much completely cured of the VMX admin bug now if not before. I shall completely refrain from further posts on anything except factual statements about Heaven activities. I do not expect that to be of great concern to you or anyone but I will complete my commitment to my club.
Does this place shit me off? You can probably guess my answer to that.

WE, HEAVEN , GREG SCRIVEN.....Was never used in my wording. Read it again. THEY'VE is the word used. I explained to Hayden the situation regarding some guy hurting himself and MA approaching Honda only for Honda to state " XR 's are only our fun bikes " blah blah. I accepted that and moved on , did I not.
However you had to add a snide remark, conveniently deleted, which made me respond.
I will have your bits at Buladelah for you to pick up.

I hardly ever comment because words writen can be taken out of context muche easier than a spoken word. It always amazes me how people that get along at meetings have agreat time and will not say anything bad agaist any one will write stuff that seems to insult the other party.
You know if humans evolved and cound only communicate by writing things either on devices or on paper and someone invented a way of speaking to each other, we would herald that as the greates invention ever. You could modulate, wave your arms and do all the things humans do, body language is a bigger part of communication.
Speak to each other and leave the text for good content and information. :)
