Title: Lake Gaidner

Heading off tomorrow to see what its all about. I'm going along with a mate whos running a bike to lend a hand. I had a look on google maps, its a long way, the GREAT AUSTRALIAN FA !!!!

Good luck with the bike, I will be there for a day trip Tuesday. Conditions look to be the best they have had for a long time.

Take plenty of everything especially drinking water....it's a long way from the local Aldi and it's bloody hot and dry. Don't forget something to read during the numerous down times. I went in 06 and enjoyed myself but I can't see myself going back in a hurry. Oh yeah....a HAT, the bigger the better + plus plenty of +30 sunscreen.

Aeroguard, zinc for your lips and sunnies (like being at the snow). If you don't want it completely rusted up don't take it there. Have fun and give us a report, everyone usualy meets at Whyalla.

our local bike mechanic 'nifty' nev cowie is up there too , riding a black Yamaha 500 single 4 stroke, got beeten by 2 or 3 miles an hour last year

i'm hoping Nev will do good too Rider,got a lot of my slippery glasswork on that SR,(as long as he manages to tuck himself on/under it  ;)),couple others running my stuff also, a turbo'ed honda bucket  :o, :P

Mark,bones sold that to another guy Paul, he's helping out with mechanicals/setup,it's now got ducati/RG500 hybrid fairing,& a more  enclosed front wheel,bumped up a class or too,also running s/car ,Paul got s/c class win last year with smaller kawa motor,got something bigger innit this time round,salt fever,who'da thunk  :D, :P

mick , nev showed me the new fiberglass work on the bike only a week ago ,  nice work !

Got back today. Reset the the MPSF500 class record to 126.6mph Nev went home after some problems on tuesday I think it was.
