Isn't that an '83 ?  Or an '82 painted white?

5k too much that's for sure for a tooth loosening bone breaking monster of a bike that ya cant ride cos it looks so good!

82's were 430 and that's an 83 for sure (I rekon)

That is an 83 or else an 84 model with an 83 tank. First Husky 500 was the 82.5 Silver Streak that was indeed a beast to ride with its 44mm carb. Scared many  :o

Actually this model weren't all that bad to ride, enduro-ised with heavier flywheel and all that...the silver tanker with internal rotor was a rocket for sure, I put the first one in the country together (silver tanker) and then took it to run it in at dargle, bike ended up for Bryan Patterson (nice Kiwi bloke) to use at I think Aussie titles at Coffs Harbour, we ended up putting the heavy flywheel on it to smooth it out for him, he was FAST on it too until he hurt himself on it!!!

The white 500 was good though, Hans had it rego'd so we could use it around a bit, was great for third gear burnt outs at 60k out front of the shop!!! All of us were faster on 250/430, even Hans was faster on the smaller bike, but a 500 is a 500 and everyone should own/ride one at least once in their life!   Still, this one is a bit expensive, even if it is Tooper Lu's Justin's personal bike.....

Oh, and agree with BigK....black rims a soooo today...NOT for 80's icons!

I won the Penrith club Trailbike Class dirt track championship in both 1983 and 1984 on an XC500 Husky. Anyone who says Huskies aren't any good at dirt track has never ridden Nepean on an XC500. The key to getting them to turn is to throw a bit of bodyweight over the tank, something that comes easily to a porker like me ;D. This is up there with the 360 auto my favourite Husky model. They're pretty damn quick.

Ebay is always a bit of a guide, if can be proved close to perfect mechanically I reckon 6g for me would be about it and at that it would have to have an aussie compliance plate...I reckon anything put together by Roy and Hans is worth more!!
