Now I know all this eligibility talk is important business and needs to happen, but spare a thought for those who couldn't give a toss and consider offering something else also while this forum staple is chewed on by a few. I bet I'm not the only bloke who quickly looks then clicks off the forum when they see the news feed full of the same banter for days on end...so while I respectfully understand the importance and necessity of it all please spare some of your thoughts for other "more interesting" topics.
Cheers, Brendan
PS, i will contribute by sharing a joke....
What's the difference between a lentil and a chickpea??
Nobody has ever paid $200 for a lentil on their face ;D ;D

Was thinking the same thing :-)

Yep I understand exactly where your coming from.

exactly

With respect to all of you , if its boring the piss out of you ignore the threads . You know what there about so why put yourselves through the pain ;)
I don't go into trials threads for the same reason .
For those with an interest a lot of good is coming out of the threads and overall a positive vibe without the usual name calling and over emotional crap .
Brendan thanks for the joke ;D
Between the 4 of you , you have started 611 threads and have 6421 post over time so recycle some of them or Start other threads that you enjoy and see if they fly :)
-
Wondered how long it take before someone said this. ;)
-
I also understand what you are saying also Bill and I have been involved in a fair few threads, but some of them just go on and on with no result. I watch with interest for awhile and then as you know the same stuff just gets rehashed for 17 pages. When infact the forum has no power and is only a discussion page and if people wanted either answers or wanted to make recommondations they in fact should be bringing this up with their clubs. No offence meant.

Was thinking the same I just put it down to Self interest for rule changes
or beer talk .. ;) ;)

Trouble is Bill that most other threads don’t get a look in while these ‘serious’ debates are going on. I believe everyone gets burnt out with all the angst and don’t bother replying to anything.
I know I often feel this way.

Without prejudice Stig can I ask how often you currently race VMX and what was the last Vintage nationals you competed at ?
relevant why ? because obviously if you don't race then your interest would be minimal .

Wasp what about the drug auzie girl in Thailand Corby?, will now get millions for story, for breaking the law
-
At the moment there are also very important topics , like the fires , the heatwave , and probably the most devastating in the long run , the imminent closure of the last car plant Toyota .
Absolutely these are very important topics, with the exception of heatwaves....It is summer when all is said and done.
I do think that the discussion on the proposed re-write of the rules for CMX and PCMX are worthwhile to have though. The more positive input that can be garnered the better the final proposal will be. I believe plans are to draft a working copy of the final proposed set of rules so that those with an interest can put them forward to their clubs and in turn, presented to MA for consideration.

I think it shows how simple life is on the Vinduro side of the fence :)

A group of Sunni militants attending a “suicide bombing training class” in Iraq were killed yesterday when their instructor unwittingly conducted a demonstration with actual explosives , The New York Times reports.
The militants belonged to a group known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. Twenty-two members of the group were killed and 15 more were wounded in the explosion.

Good. The more they knock each other off, the better.

At my Age 73 I am not interested in Mx bill. I have 3 or 6 pre 85 trail bikes that I am working on
One I have used for the last 6 years in all Vic Vinduro's when health permits me too.
Vinduro You know that part off the sport where all the bike are ridden the same as the way they left the
Factory.. and every one is happy to leave it that way for now..

-
Would love to come Supersenior I am doing up an 86 IT 175

You Superseniors are inspirational!
I hope that I am still riding at that age. Hey, I hope I'm still upright!
To see Donny Newell ( a sprightly 83 I believe) race his Bultaco around is great. He is a bugger to get past too - knows all the good lines.
I get a lot out of this Forum. A lot of useful info. I don't like it when the jibes get personal though. And I don't like racist comments either. We are all VMX brothers, are we not? All in it for the enjoyment?
As I start my second year of VMX I am very grateful for the support from all of the VMX community.
I can't wait till the racing starts next month - love it :)
Cheers
