Got a 1976 CR 125 , im not generally a Honda person but they are a cool looking thing IMHO .
For not a Honda person they are growing in the shed :) 79 CR 250 , 84 CR 250, 76 CR 125 , 79 XR 200
Want to freshen up the motor as it has not been run for a few years 10+
Can anyone tell me good sources for a rod kit , piston kit , gasket set , and clutch plates for the 125

Rod kits are hard to find, it's easier (but more expensive) to get a later model one but you have to get the crank webs drilled bigger for the new pin. Piston kits are easy, Woosner do them. Gasket sets from evilbay USA......what are you doing farking with shit?.....do us all a favour and dump it in the lake mate. ;D Check the engine mount holes, they are probably twice the size there suppose to be.

Hi,
Serco Brisbane have done all my 74 CR 125 cranks over the past 18 years , and use Hot Rods #8162 (CR 125 81-84) (Suz RM125 84- 86) they do require initial modification to crank (bigger pin if I remember right) CR125 73-78 genuine haven't been available for quite some time,
go online for gasket set , seal set ,there is a odd size Honda crank seal right side (inside) the bearings are available at any good bearing shop .
the fast guys up this end of town are using GMC pipes (I'm not yet)

There's a very strong Yamaha rod which does the job & won't break when the bike revs to 14,000 rpm when the rear wheel comes off the ground. It works out quite expensive though, but no crank mods needed. I usually just use the '84 rod & bore the webs to take the bigger pin.
