A refund can be delayed for a variety of reasons. For example submitting invalid records or applying after the deadling.

And.... I'm pretty certain the ATO would not be telling me a refund is to be in AUD and check out the last word in the last sentence, WTF is a deadling? ::) both are neat Scamflags.
