The first VERi shindig for 2014 will be a Sprint style event run in conjunction with the Ballan Tractor Pull. It will be run on a short natural terrain course, with a few obstacles thrown in for good measure.
It'll be a low key event, and a good chance to dust off the cobwebs in preparation for the bumper year of riding ahead. It's also a good opportunity to show off our sport to the general public.
Entry will be on the day, for a bargain entry fee of $30. Factor in a one day MV licence ($25) and one day VERi membership ($10) as applicable.
More details will be posted on the VERi website over the next week or so.

This is a youtube video of the 2012 tractor pull at Ballan - great old vintage machines, like ours!
Scooter News was at the Tooradin tractor pull last week and LOVED IT! We will be coming to do the Ballan vinduro, although I think I will be distracted by the tractors and don't know how many laps I will get in.
Will have to get Jo and her whip to keep me away from the tractors...
See Tex and everyone

Well we'd prefer it there was. I would be amazed if you didn't have a spare PE headlight amongst your vast collection!

Forecast for the area at this stage for Sunday 16th is 21* and cloudy with a bit of rain on the Friday and possible showers on the Saturday.
Not much chance of overheating there 8)

Weather forecast looks good, so even temperamental Euro bikes should behave themselves.
This vinduro/sprint will be a side event as part of the Ballan Vintage Machinery Rally & Tractor Pull. Check out the link below for more info:

Hi everyone,
Despite the benign weather forecast, unfortunately the area where we were to ride is deemed as being too much of a fire risk right now by the landowners/organisers. Sadly the vinduro/sprint has had to be cancelled. VERi apologises for any inconvenience, but obviously this is completely out of our control.

I was looking forward to it I will try to get to the next ride. :)

Disappointing, but on the upside, I wasn't going to be able to make this one anyway. So at least you blokes won't be out enjoying yourselves while I'm out working. ;D
