Title: Rubber blinker stalks.
Post by: kdx Geoff on January 15, 2014, 04:11:30 pm

Hi,

is there a way to repair/replace/refurbish rubber blinker stalks ? They're moulded at each end so l can't just cut off a bit a long one to suit and l haven't found a suitable looking non genuine replacement.

l could use other rear blinkers with the correct lens and head shape but the stalk length is longer than original so they're not quite right.

Thanks

kdx Geoff

Maybe you have a set in a box on the shelf ? They look like this  :) They weren't just on Kawasaki's either, l have a broken set off a Yamaha too.

Have you tried your local bike shop Geoff? I have seen those indicators hanging around in bike shops before. If they don't have them, ask to have a look in their aftermarket supply book. I think they are labelled as a replacement for the XT/DT Yamahas.

Only the net, eBay has most parts readily available. You know how the dealer looks at you when you say 1981 model  ;D l have a set off a DT so l think they're era more than manufacture specific.
