Is there any reason why I can't use a correct weight 4t engine oil as engine oil in a 2 stroke? I've got a bottle of it here but no 4 stroke to use it in. I can't see a problem?
-
yep should be good to go as long as it is around the correct weight

Cool, thanks

Are we talking 4T engine oil in a 2T gearbox?.....that's OK, but not as a petrol mix for a 2T engine....read what you wrote. ???

"Engine oil" not premix oil. I did mention oil weight, should have been a clue?

Transmission oil? If that's what you mean it should be fine Paul.

Paul ... I have been using Castrol Manual VMX 80w for 3 years now with no problems .... comes in 4 litres and can be purchased at super shit autos.
Have noticed they are not stocking Castrol R anymore WTF

Strong rumour BP ( the current owners of Castrol ) has tossed caster based oils because of ..low volume.. sales

wouldn't 8ow oil be too much drag compared to lesser weight oils designed to run in 2t gearboxes?
-
Sae 75-80 API GL 4 rating .......

ive been using ATF - F in the husky and KTM gearboxes with no dramas...not paying for mark ups here!!
