Title: Maico jetting specs - bing

Hi, can anyone suggest some baseline Bing jetting specs for an 83 490? (Reed valve motor). My carb appears to have what is a 4l or 41 needle which was raised by sitting on a washer  :-\

Any advice would be welcome.

Stevo..... The Good News,,,,, I have the stock specs for all Bings on all size Maicos on a PDF file.
                The maybe not so good news,,,,, They are in German...... ::)

wheelsmith article in mxa aug83 for83 490 advises    195 main    282-2 needle jet    6F2 needle   55 pilot

dirt bike article feb83   195 main   278-2 nj    4K-2 needle     60 pilot   and   2003 slide       32:1                    g.

Thanks g, seems like a couple if different recommendations. The dirt bike setting seems close to stock.

Stevo there is a genuine 83, 250/490 spider set up manual finishing very soon on USA  ebay.
