Good basis for a project. Advertised as a 1964 model, with side points. ??? ???

I've never heard either of  those terms before but it's pretty plain what the story was ;D. The bike's a perfect core bike for a pre 65 project, it'd be nice to see it as a racer as opposed to yet another drab Army issue resto.

Go on Hilly, it's a great fun class with a pretty high cool factor and there's the added bonus of when you eventually retire the bike from racing you can convert it back to road trim and you've got a brilliant rally/cappuccino cruise bike.....win/win

I was interested in seeing the side point motor advertised as 1964 as well. I'm also thinking about getting the B40 into my shed, if for no other reason than it being good company for the B44 and B50....

I have been keen on this as a foot in to pre 65.

Here's more discussion on B40 eligibility??? ( & a price comparison).

It would be a shame to build it then find out all you get is an argument.

If there's a problem when I get mine going, we'll hold our own class.
Safety in numbers.
Happy new year gents.

Yeah I backed out as well Hilly. I figured it needed at least 3 grand spent on it to get a good race ready bike out of it. The problem with "bargain" bikes is they always swallow hand fulls of fun tickets and heaps of time to get right. And that's without any unseen problems....
