Title: 30 and 32mm Mikunis.
Post by: Nathan S on June 09, 2008, 06:18:54 pm
Prefer the 30mm one to come from a YZ125C, but don't really care. DT360A carb does NOT help me.

Prefer the 32mm to come from a YZ125D, E or F, but don't really care.

Will also consider 34mm.

I have a 38mm(?) carby from an early 1980s YZ250 or IT to swap, if that helps. Good nick. Stamped 25Y, I think.
Also have several 24~26mm Mikunis from DT125s and 175s if they have any value to anyone.

04000 23847 if you can help.

Anything down to 34mm OD will be fine (34mm OD is unlikely...).

Too big, but thanks for the thought Jake.

Edit: Oops - should actually follow the link before replying, rather than just assuming that it was the 250D carby on ebay.com.au.... :-[
Thanks Jake, but this project is not deserving of hundreds of dollars of new carby.

I know I've harped on about this before but physically look in the bore and feel in the bore for a tpaer ??..oops..a what!!..a TAPER I meant..do it 'before' you measure. Regular vernier calipers don't reach the tapered area which is where a more accurate measurement is taken. If it's tapered you can detract about 2mm on average from the measurement you get if measured at the outlet edge and not closer to the slide area. I reckon for this reason alone people have trouble jetting carbs that are not what they appear..yeah yeah..bla bla..sorry, please continue  ::)

Yeah, I'm onto that one. I've actually got a series of washers which I use as carby size gauges.
