was looking at purchasing a RM500 donk when we finaly got some pics its had a weld job on the cases around the clutch actuating arm, hes trying to tell me thats common in all these motors :o has anyone ever known this to even have happend?

TOO MANY TIMES it was a bad design and desparately in need of a case saver from the factory. 86-86 RM125/250 top chain roller would always wreck cases too >:(

Pretty common on all those 80's Suzuki's, I have seen some pretty bad repairs as well....be carefull....did you ever contact that guy in Florida that had a motor for sale?....or did you miss the boat?

I will have to check my 500 to see if it has had any repair there I know a lot of my pe's have damage there from a chain derail or to big a front sprocket.
I have been struggling to find some nice tm400 cases I have some that will do but I wouldn't mind finding some good ones a bit non existent now it seems.
