Wonder how much it will go for

Those numbers are close to your ones. 8)Your Vin number is 00580, that bike is 00561
-
It seems its at top dollar already and has a reserve above this.....am i missing something :-\
-
Is it Pre 75 ( carry over/ carry on ) or Pre 78
-
Pre 75 Ted, it's a factory designated '74 model. We got them in 1974 but the Americans didn't get them until '75 which has raised some confusion in the past.
-
Would be pretty handy in that class wouldn't it.
-
They're no better or worse than most of the other '74 250's. 1974 was the best year for competitive 250's in motocross history. It's exceptional to find a bad one.

Firko has johnathon done that Binelli we dropped off to him?
-
ooooh Firko - much better than a CR250????? They handle for start.
-
Mick - so where are my royalties?????
-
was loaned one by the importer when it had done a season with a top rider. Was a great bike & really enjoyed it after my [trying to think] mx250a or cr250 elsinore. replaced it with the 'new mx250b 1975 but liked the other one. Hate to think how many times i've thought that over the years, [last years was better].

Don't misunderstand me Rossco, the YZ-B is a great bike as you no doubt are well aware, but my point is that the monoshock suspension and great engine didn't make the bike light years better than the opposition. In 1974 I rode a bland 250 Maico so I was in the box seat to see what was the dominating bike of the year and I quickly found that my Maico was no match for my club mates YZ 250-B and the Pursang, Phantom, Cappra and Elsinore. Even Kawasaki was coming close with the first KX250. You could throw a blanket over those bikes at the end of the straight, they were that close and quite frankly they all handled about the same, except for the Maico which had one little advantage....6" of rear suspension. In the end, no matter what you rode in 250 it was down to your riding skills more than just about any other year.

No idea Mike....I haven't spoken to him since that day.
-
true Uncle - I can't really compare 360 and my CR 250 motors - but the YZ also had the longer travel and it turned and handled so much better that the Honda - chalk and cheese
-
