Title: Nice people Part 2
Post by: jerry on December 16, 2013, 03:13:27 pm
Maybe it's Xmas and I'm feeling nice but I would like to follow up on my previous post regarding helpful friendly people on here. I am not in the motorcycling trade and usually find out about anything to do with this scene the hard way. I have however inadvertantly built up a network of friends and contacts through the forum as well as VCM. For those that read my previous post I made the point that I was most grateful for the info that I got from Big K and Bruce from Boltons KTM. I should also add that FDR from VCM put me onto Big K and originally Simo63 gave me the contact for the forks in the first place! Anyway next thing I know Ben from Flower Pot Racing in the old dart contacts me and advises most likely he has the parts I need. A couple of emails later the parts are in the mail. Couldn't do it without you blokes. Thanks again and Merry Xmas to all. Cheers Jerry

Hope it's not to soon to make a joke but it reminds me of the story of the bloke who lost a finger at work and only realised when he went to say goodbye to his boss at the end of the day! J

I have had nothing but exemplary and timely service from G of GMC. It does however help standing over him whilst he toils! I now expect Geoff to come back with " it would have been done in half the time if I wasn't standing their telling bullshit stories!" Oh and Merry Xmas to you Geoff. J

They went in Santa's Royal Mail posting bag today.  Should take about a week to get to you, but with the Christmas rush may take a little longer.  Have fun and Seasons Greetings to all.

Merry xmas J Man and all the other vmxers on here. I hope to do some more riding next year which should not be hard to achieve since I rode only twice all year and those 2 rides were 3 days apart.

I would like to promote Col at PEAK REBORES, got him to size up a  cylinder,he rang Peter Schoene at Bully Parts, stuff got posted to him and a week later it was all done and at a great price. I left him in deep thought about the quality of MAICO alloy and how he was going to resleeve his 490 barrel.
All good, there should be more like him and best wishes to all.

I hope the injury doesn't interfere with you picking your nose of wiping your arse Wormy. Jokes aside, I hope you mend as quickly as possible and that you have a great Christmas and an amputation free 2014.

"Doesn't interfere with picking your nose or wiping your arse." Outstanding Firko combines an inquiry, mixed with compassion and dexterity. Wish I had said it myself. J
