Whilst I am waiting with baited breath for various parts to arrive for my Husky build up I think all the Husky owners should post a few pics of there rides to keep me going. Therefore show us your Huskies!!

Hey Watto, I am not sure if it is much better. It was on the bike when I bought it. I used to have a 430CR with the floating brake and it seemed to have more feel. I asked the question on Husky Café and the general opinion was that the XC setup was better. I dunno ?? I think mine has 83 model XC wheels and swingarm in it - 18 inch rear and tls front brake.

My '85 AE500 (Auto). Last of the twinshocks. Almost feels like cheating, when you are on a track that suits it ;). Hope to have a ride on it at the Echo Valley Nats.

And one more. Intend to be at Echo Valley also Mark. Let's have an auto muster!

Hey screamin62,
Have you done any internal mods to the forks to better absorb the pounding that they are getting???
Cheers
-
The forks have Race Tech Emulators as well as stiffer springs. They work quite well considering the short travel. Nice bikes everyone!
-
Thanks mate,
I might have to look into something like that!!
-
id go for the HVA mods....there is a thread on café husky with all the guff

I agree Grant, the Silver Bullet is up there as one of the prettiest motocrossers ever made and reputedly one of the fastest. Legend has it that they produced 60+hp and were difficult to ride. Apparently they were detuned quite a bit by the time the white tank model came out.
Husky Pete got his Husky CR500 Silver Bullet (above)and I got my Jaguar XJ-S Walkinshaw from the same bloke in Canberra who had, amongst other things, been Paul Keating's Press Secretary and up until recently was the CEO of the Sydney Market Authority. A really interesting bloke whose car collection belied his Zegna suit and $500 shoes public life. He also owned a '72 Datsun 1600 fitted with a 400+bhp turbocharged 2340cc FJ24 motor and a brace of ugly but extremely cool turbocharged Maserati powered Citroen SMs..........

Lovely looking bike.
Just missing some new OHLIN decals for the shocks. If your send me your address I will post me some for a Christmas Present to add the all important finishing touch.
Merry Christmas everyone!

I meant this Husky! If you would like some decals to finish the shocks off let me know. My treat!
-
Thanks Flower Pot for the offer but........do you know that I live in the USA. I would take them but........it's up to you. I don't want to put you out too much for shipping. I am working on the real Ohlins for this bike right now. Should have them done in a few days. The stickies would be cool.
Merry Christmas, Scott
-
I'm in the UK. Airmail gets stuff everywhere! PM me your address and I'll get them sent.
Merry Christmas.
-
KOOL!!!!!!
-
:) Excellent, makes me want a Husky 8)
-
Ben, I've got a pair of Ohlins but I need some Ceriani stickers like the ones you supplied me a couple of years ago, email me with the dough required and I'll PayPal you straight away. Do you have the big almost full length sticker that was used on the magnesium Cerianis, the ones with the full length strengthening rib? Happy Christmas to you, your lovely wife and the lads.
-
OK, no sweat. PM me your address and I will send some for your projects. Haven't got the long ones you refer to, but feel the need to get them made and done properly. They are available (on ebay for instance) and I am staggered at the price they are advertised at, so it would be good to offer some high quality alternatives to given people some choice. (sorry cheaper alternative...)

Yay a Husky with the kickstarter on the right!

6 speeds - all reverse 8) I think Slakewell has finally flipped ::)
-
is that ANRAVQSUH ORUDNE a 052 or a 034.? g.
-
Must be some sort of flat tracker bugger all wheel travel .
-
There is a brand new one like SLACKWELLS in the Husky museum in Sweden.
-
That is awesome Slakewell have you assembled it?
-
Interesting post regarding Paul Keatings press secretary. Funny how Paul Keating used to denigrate John Hewson's Ferrari, yet his own press secretary was a car enthusiast and Paul Keating himself owned a series 1 E Type and an Austin-Healey 3000. If only those punters in Canberra would keep it real, instead of playing politics, then the world would be a better place. A bit concerning to me too, as I have owned the same cars as Keating and Hewson as well as the XJ-S and silver bullet of the press secretary!
-
That is awesome Slakewell have you assembled it?
Yes back in 1988 did not look so shinny after the 4 day a few weeks later which was a mudder. I rode the same minute as Armstrong which was interesting.
