WHERE IS THIS QUARRY YOU SPEAK OF? Its nice your trying but i would think you have less than NO chance at getting this council to look at it.

It's on the Castlereagh Rd, not too far from the Olympic Rowing Centre.

There was a doco on Off road motorcycle parks in WA, trying to find it as it pointed out a lot of benefits. Here is a link to WA Govt statement about it

Do any of the WAer's know of the doco ?

Thanks Stewy. This is exactly how I will present it to council.
Sutto sells 600+ Offroad machines a year. He says the vast majority of them head west, two to three hours to Louee, Lithgow and Clarence on most weekends. He reckons there would be no problem getting around 300 riders to use a Moto park each day in Penrith on Saturdays and Sundays. He says pursue it, they will come by the truck load

So how far did it get? Who were you talking to? Who is to be avoided? What information did you present to them? Could you pass on any information you may have? I am also in Penrith. I will give it a crack.

As much as I love to be wrong I dont think a Council would go for this with current OHS BS. Now if you get MCNSW to be involved there could be the slightest chance.
-
MCNSW don't own the land. Us rate payers do, administered by council.
It is my understanding QMP is run by four councils and the Qld government. Look at the video on here, WA park is run by National Parks and councils. There is absolutely no need to get MCNSW involved.
Like I said before Mick, this may be a pipe dream but let me at least ask before the doubting Thomas's have their way.
Cheers Bud

It would be really great if this could happen and if it could be done without MCNSW even better. You guys have my full support.
-
All we can do now is support Ted & Nathan, get your name on the petition & get your wider group of friends to support you & sign the petition too.
These guys deserve as much support as we can give them.

Had an informal chat with someone very high up at MCNSW on Saturday. I was informed if I get the ball rolling and get council interested MCNSW will draft a proposal to take to MA for them to pursue.
More after Xmas.

Ted the first person to talk to is the Chief of Staff to the Minister for Western Sydney, then the Chief of Staff to the new Minister for Sport, also the Civic reporter for the local paper in Penrith.
Politicians both like or loath noise, get that working for you,
Always treat it that the local council is broke and the Minister has the cheque book.
The guy from the DSMRA that is working on Rec Reg is pretty good too,
I was on a Dept of Premier and Cabinent Working Group for a few years, it's the Ministers that make things happen.
When your in the Ministers office in Parliament House things start rolling.

Just signed 99 so far.
