Title: 1991 Suzuki DR 800
Post by: Tossa on December 03, 2013, 08:30:08 pm
something different

This bike is the only DR800 registered in W.A. as far as I know. It is the largest single cylinder bike ever made. It has 8800 genuine Kilometers on it since new. It is as complete and original as it was when Suzuki built it. Has personalised plates DR800. Just fitted new tyres, sprockets and chain. Comes with a spare set of fully rebuilt carbs. Yes, a single cylinder with twin carbs. also have a workshop manual and some other spares.
Bike is in Waroona. Regretfull sale. Bike never gets ridden anymore.

RM forks and shock, RM bodywork and a set of 17s and you'd have a great Motard...

It always beats me why people say a particular bike is no good when the truth is just that it doesn't suit their style of riding.
For a Sunday morning cruise exploring some dirt road, I thin this bike would be a real gem.

Admittedly, not an 800 but you can still have fun off road on these things.

I had a demo DR750 then the ADR DR800
I got to keep the engine and put it in a RGV 250 chassis for a Sound of Single
Lucky I had a Traders Plate to go have some fun
wasn't as lovely as I thought so I sold it off
