Aussie Ex Dirt trackers Facebook had a group photo of the winners on the day.
Keith Davies Unlimited and 500cc, Kevin Patton 250cc and 125 cc and
Georgie Watson and Bluey Anderson junior and senior sidecar. They were standing behind
K.D's Godden Weslake. I remember seeing the same pic. years ago in a magazine, maybe Revs.
I would like to see it again but I don't do facebook. Can anybody help?

That meeting has become legendary. It's one of the best dirt tracks I ever went to and the very last race meeting I attended in Australia for the next 7 years.
-
Yes Firko, the '75 titles were legendary. We are still talking about them. A couple of future champs emerged
(Peter Lee) for one and also the first big win for the Legendary Godden Weslake in Australia.
I will let you blokes in on a little secret. The 297 bike is being rebuilt and I am helping the owner gather
info etc. to get it as close as possible to original. So far ,......original complete rolling chassis, original
fully rebuilt motor. Still chasing,...Godden rear guard, handle bars (grass track type),curved front no.plate.
Hence the reason for wanting this photo. I have collected enough info now so that the bike can be rebuilt to
look just like it did at Griffith, even down to the stickers/cables etc.
regards Mark
ps. still need a Godden dirt shield
-
I told Keith of this post but he was busy with Grandson Alex for last nights NSW Title
Maybe he might post about it tomorrow

Rod Dunne has rung me a couple of times trying to source Godden bits......is Rod the owner Mark or is he restoring another KD bike?
-

Just spoke to Keith who has spoken to Rod about this a few times,
Keith might be able to find some more bits,
Rawlo might have a hub in the corner of his shed,
I have Bob Robbos 84S in my stash, so it's probably time to dig it out

Hi Fossil ,
Found me glasses, mate when do you sleep ??
-
Good onya Grasy, I just got a new pair of specs so that's why I managed ta find the photo ;D, Mark told me tonight that the fella with KD in the pits is Ray Owen, I didn't recognise him. I do have a kip occasionally ::)

Here ya go , Mark. Griffith pits 197? TD, EA and the kids, Harriman's Godden lurking in the foreground. Not much of a shot but great memories

Great pic Foss. I can see the Elstar JAP there and the scrutineering tree in the background. I would have been pitted
just down to the right.
cheers Mark
