This particular '77 Hagon VE TT500 will be seen in HEAVEN pre 78 action next year if all the ducks line up.

Although not a '77 model, a '76 Puch twin carb 250 would still be a wicked pre '78 weapon.

As measured at the brochure , 250mm rear wheel travel for the '77 Yamaha YZ400D.

most of the 77's ,obviously ignore some of the hp claims made by manufacturers.     g

Jeez comparing the original prices is interesting. The 77 KTM 125 was almost twice the price of a RM 125.

Its also apparent that ther are different ways of calculating comp ratio's too

Useless bit of information to give compression ratios on 2-strokes. Euros calculate it from BDC whereas Japs do it from when the exhaust port is closed by the piston.

Cycle Guide august 77 issue ran a '22 page' shootout of 7 125 mxers- KTM 125GP  , Husky CR125 ,honda cr125m , YZ125D , RM125B ,
montesa vb125 and 125 Pursang-these learned dudes chose the husky first,yz and rm equal second,then ktm,bultaco and the honda and vb monty equal last,some may not agree .       g
