Title: Honda XR250 balance Shafts
Post by: Stewart Allen on November 13, 2013, 08:28:18 pm
So what's the opinion of the balance shafts in the XR250's, is it best to remove them & have the crank re balanced ? Will it improve the performance/throttle response much ? Anyone done it ?

The best thing to improve the performance of your XR250 is to walk straight past it and hop on your CR250RE.

Leave the balance shaft in.

I've heard many stories, mainly 500 and 600 letting go after they have had the balancers removed. The idea of riding an XR is to be reliable and work with what you can not leave bits out hope you finish!

Find a cam and HC piston, mikuni carb and hang on!!!
