So after watching his son and daughter both have a ball at their first VMX outing at the recent Classic Nats her in QLD, my mate Leigh (a road racer from waaaay back and currently campaigning a six figure Triton in Victoria with quite a bit of success) has decided that he needs to get in on this VMX thing ;D
Leigh has a Matchless 500 motor laying around ( I think he said it's a Matchless) and is looking for a suitable roller to build into a pre 60 or 65 (or whatever vintage it turns out to be) VMX bike.
He is located in North East Victoria, but that's not a problem.
Anyone got a suitable roller that would suit this sort of project thay would like to sell on ?
Also any advice is greatly appreciated.

Not really, but I have spotted him at the Southern Classic, the Island Classic and the historic nats giving it to the boys in the P3 Unlimited class, the bike is good for sure but that guy can ride as well, very impressive. Hope he's in Perth for the historic nats this weekend.

Gee it's really nice to hear someone say something nice like that about someone very close to me 8) ;D
Thanks GD66 but Leigh (Corbett) won't be in WA as he is heading up this way from Vic to Qld for my 50th ;) ;D ;D

I'm not an expert on Rickman frames but I have a feeling the pre unit Matchless 500 single engine and box might be a tight fit in a frame made for a unit Trumpy. It'd be worth asking around before any money changes hands................
10 minutes later.....I just rang my friend Frank Stanborough who'd got two Metisses and has owned a couple more over the years and he reckons the two frames are different but not enough to make life difficult. I'd still check with someone else though.....Ray Fisher maybe?
