I don't know were to parts, but what a great buy of an awesome bike. Was that the model that Jeff Dawson rode in the Blackwater enduro in the states? The only 125 to ever finish the event.

No, stuffed up :-[ Jeff rode the Blackwater in 86

Some progress has been made, my Husky thought it was a Honda and rotted out its water pump but its now devconed up nicely.

www.husqvarna-parts.com is always a good beat. Phillip looks after you well and seems to be able to get most things I have ever needed. Cheers
-
its a clean looking jig that one

Pretty cool bike, those.
A mate had one years back, and it was a pretty fun thing on the rare occasions when the ignition wasn't screwed.
My 88 KTM125 felt like it was a century newer though...

Is this particular model known for a dodgey ignition? Perhaps I should just get it running and flog it off :-\
(I just bought a 2000 Honda CR125 for $1000 from some "horsey set" people whose son bought it 3 years ago rode it three times and parked it in the garage ;D)

Slow reply.. Yeah, they're known for dodgy ignitions - even when the bikes were new.
Nowdays there's PVL to make the problems go away.
-
It's finally done, looks and runs a treat too.

That is one beautiful bike Gody, one of the best looking husky's ever, you are to be congratulated!

nice job, mr ;)

I recommend www.husqvarna-parts.com - very good service and cheap shipping

Looks awsome. I had the pleasure of uncrating my own '84 WR125 "back when". Here in the U.S. I like PVP Cycle http://www.pvpcycles.com/andy.html and Halls Husky http://www.halls-cycles.com/ .

Looks great Cyclegod. Tell me how did you get the tank looking so white? I've had my 84 tank sitting in a tub of White King for a week and its made zero difference. Brown colour still there. I'm looking for a plan C. Plan B is to try the UV lamp trick. Cheers
-
I've done nothing to the tank at all, it was that white when I got it. The owner said remember to drain the tank when your finished riding and flush it with white spirits after.

Nice Resto. I raced the similar 1986 CR125. Still have it in the shed. Great bike, very reliable. Only trouble it was a bit heavy and underpowered against all my mates who had YZ125's at the time. Had a barrel of fun with it though. After seeing your resto makes me want to dust the old bike off and take it for a ride.

No power valve was a bit of a liability at that stage of development, but it made good power for an enduro bike ;D
