Cheers
-
Kawasaki tank? What the heck? ;D
-
The results thread says he won pre75 250 so unless he had another bike to use he must of
-
who is he 8)

Guess the fiberglass Ossa tank is too precious or leaky to use ;D Don't want the lovely Spanish seƱorita catching fire from a fuel leak ..... Too much of that happening lately :-\
-
Yes he did win on the Ossa, the Phantom tank had a problem with the glass de laminating I think.
-
Thanks Guys
Made my day a Phantom Ossa in the winners circle. Rider and bike must have been fast to hold off Rick on the Mk7 Bultaco from WA and the rest of the young GUNS
From all reports the pace was up this year in all classes :)

That's as funny as......... ;D ;D ;D
I was looking for you at Moto Park Paul.......sorry to miss you.
-
Shame the other two front runners had bike trouble the first 250 race was a cracker.
-
Dave #6 Just a guy who rides and enjoys his bikes ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
When I first saw Brads OSSA I thought it was a Kawasaki with OSSA mudguards........it's funny how much the tank defines in our brain what bike it is we're looking at ;D.
-
Brad,
I.M. me I have spares. We can't have a beautiful Spanish lady dancing the flamenco in a Japanese kimono. ;)
-
That Eastman guy in Vic has Phantom tank mould, charges about $400 for a new one.
-
Ha. Just found this thread. I've had a few issues with the girl but she is worth the hassle. What an awesome bike. The original tank disintegrated early in the piece so the kwaka tank was made to fit. I was told there is a fix for all the neutrals it has ::).
If I had a dollar for all the people that asked about my Kawasaki, I'd have 3 or 4 dollars.
Good one Paul ;D
-
Awesome Brad
Heard today maybe you run a Mikuni WA guy was unsure ;D
The main gearbox fix is to fit the later model shift claw plus a few other small mods to the drum and plunger ;)
Good to proof the poor old OSSA can WIN in the right hands

She's running the bing. The only issue is it runs rich right off the bottom and sounds crap when Erving it. I'm sure if I spend some time on it I can fix the issue. Other wise I will get a mikuni.
I would love any details regarding an exact fix for the gearbox.

Have you spoken to Phil.....Um....Phil, Phil, what's his name? from Wauchope NSW.

Jeez,....That Eastman guy!!! The name is Eastham and yes he does GREAT glass work for OSSA'S
BULTACO'S , HAGON'S etc. Tanks, guards, petrol caps, oil tanks, seat bases etc. etc.
Oh yeah,.. his name is Steve , my older brother. Jerry on this forum will vouch for the quality
of Steve's work.
regards Mark
ps . go the OSSA!!
-
Brad,
Which Mikuni are you planning to run, 34mm or 36mm? I ran a 34mm on my the racer I sold and the plug looked great! I'll try to find my jetting notes.
-
I think I would go the 36. Were you able to make a comparison between the mikuni and the bing?
-
No.
I always run Mikunis. I've never been a horsepower guy. Even when I ran Muscle-cars in my youth I would build "Torque" motors.
-
Brad
The std 36mm Bing will aways make more HP ,but you will never tune the bloody thing to run clean as you have found out ;)
Phantom inlet track is over 36mm std go to a 38mm Mikuni already posted the specs last week ,starts 1st kick a runs clean from idle to WOT
Run 4 bikes with Phantom motors All have 38mm Mikuni even my Alron Ossa ;D
Cheers
