this may offend some people but one has to question just how little grey matter is one trying to protect with a purchase such as this? I think the horse that needs protecting has already bolted so hopefully it'll look good as a $1800 static display. The shipping price is a little expensive :P for a no reserve starting price of 99cents I think the seller should be one very happy camper :D

I've bought a Cheney 360 Yamaha, a CZ250 and a Suzuki 90 Honcho for a total a hundred bucks short of what that helmet is right now.
I've got a classic silver Bell Magnum that I'm now making available for the once only starting price of $800. That has to be the bargain of the year based on the fact that 44 punters are prepared to bid up to $1825 for a less than desirable grey version. I'll throw in a pair of Carrera 98-GT goggles a genuine Jofama face guard and a matching Duckbill peak to the lucky bidder if the price goes over $1000. Please form an orderly queue and good luck.

It just confirms that people will pay for stuff they like. The message from these sales is that modern equipment retailers are missing an affluent market.

There was something dodgy happening with the above Bell Helmet auction (as if it wasn't bloody obvious!) The following Bell Magnum in equal condition is just a tiny $1600 cheaper (140236438604). There must be a secret Bell Magnum craze happening in Malaysia going by the questions in both auctions.

one of ray's old bikes cyclegod - well done! i'm sure it goes to a good home. and i reckon tiddler enduro's just take the 125 fun factor into the bush for you to enjoy there too. vmxman was kind enough to let me go a couple of amcross rounds on his 125 last sunday and was it fun or what.

Absolutely!! I'd much prefer the old retro gear to go with my old retro bike.
This applies to many products - Scott face masks are a classic example of this.
Why can't they pull the old mould off the shelf and pump out a new batch?!
There's a Vintage market out there; I'm not the only one...

To much for the helmet alone but if he chucked the coathangers and the kitchen sink(I got enough peaks & face guards thanks firko) I would have been tempted.Man can't have enough coathangers

That open face Bell helmet is currently up to $1850 with 45 bids chasing it.
The seller kindly notes: I pack very carefully and never charge a handling fee or a fee for packing materials.
I love charitable people. It takes a bit of effort to put a lid in a box and put a stamp on it; but old mate won't charge.
