				Hi all
I,m new around here so be gentle with me. I have a TS 250 with a frame number of TS250 15005, Eng No TS250 17992 I can't identify it I've tried all the sights I know, it is a pre PEI model with points. I am in the process of restoring it but don'twant to order parts if i'm not sure of it.. Can anyone help.
 Cheers

				Welcome Zuki
that would be  69 or a 70  250 i assume with the winged badge on the tank.
PEI ignition happened on the 71 R models

I dont have the frame numbers for those but The good Doctor has a Bike as you describe and im sure he can lend some light on its year model

Thanks Pokey I dont know if it has a winged badge or not as it has no badges or decals on it some young fella had it and stripped all but two wheels a frame and engine. it has no oil system, elctrical system is basic, however it is a good bike to build on. But I feel your right about a 70 model thanks for the input.

Some say I suffer from apathy but I don,t give a stuff.

Yup she be a 69/70 model TS250-I or TS250-II ZUKI

unfortunately I don't have the numbers on hand to check but I'll have a hunt around and see if I can find them. Not a lot of differences with the first 2 model but as Pokey said in '71 they changed quite a bit and the addition of CDI was one of these changes. Quite a bit of new and used parts turn up for this model on eBay in the US, unlike the later TS250's the early '69/'70 TS250's only have a few people who hold much interest so you can pick up bargain prices on these parts 9 times out of 10  ;)

Had a good scout round the net for info on the type I and !! savage and not a lot turned up cept fo plenty of parts in the US as Doc says.
am a wee bit bamboozled with that engine number as the 71 R  series started with 10001 same with the frames.

Being as the R J K L M were  different design engines and a different length frame  to the type I and II perhaps they ran the Type I from 10001 aswell ... dunno

Yeh, I agree pokey the number doesn,t agree with any similar models thats why I had trouble id, ing it, in fact I had all sorts of trouble just getting the settings for the points etc. and although the bike is pretty well stripped its had an engine rebuild and it feels strong. I may look around for a similar bike and do a merge.
