Hi Guys,
i am chasing a bearing for the gearbox on an RM465Z, Suzuki part number 09264-20002, this bearing sits on the end of the "driven" shaft (counteshaft sprocket on opposite end) and is no longer available at Suzuki, yes i have tried Suzy parts in Adelaide and MIck Hones in Melbourne etc, bearing is 20mm i.d., 36mm o.d. and 12mm width, apparently these sizes are not available, generally, from bearing suppliers in Aus, ANY IDEAS PLEASE?????
I see that Vintage Suzuki in U.S. lists a FULL SET of gearbox/engine bearings for this model, has anyone used their bearing sets? are they reliable for parts? I have emailed them but no reply as yet.
cheers,
Kt.

Hi Mate
From memory I sourced the set from them along with the gaskets and many other parts - everything i have received from them seems good quality
The bearing set all slotted in fine and the bike runs well, however I haven't put it under a lot of work as yet so can't attest to the long term quality of them
Cheers

Great now let's get that bearing ;D

It's an odd ball size alright is it a needle roller or a grooved ball bearing?

Hi Lozza, "cylindrical roller", fits RM465Z & 500D only apparently.....AND I HAVE BOTH, DOH! Vintage Suzuki is my best hope at the moment by the looks of it, they advertise a full set for both bikes, have messaged them so will see, i want some other stuff off them as well so hopefully they will be helpful.
I thought it a problem as soon as i saw no numbers on it,measured and thought "oh,oh", sure enough! I like a challenge, i'll make something fit if necessary but i hate the thought of changing it, i thought maybe bigger i.d and same o.d but no go, if anything the case would have to be sleeved and use smaller o.d. same i.d and width, but according to several bearing companies no go. It is possible to have them made to sample in Singapore of all places apparently, i am hoping for a simpler fix than that......ANY IDEAS ?????? Smaller o.d would mean smaller rollers maybe, i.d. and width are possible but o.d. would have to drop around 4mm which means a lot smaller rollers....a bearing expert needed, maybe a double row "ball bearing"??
cheers,
Kt.

Also try Ray at Suziparts (08) 8295 1661
www.suziparts.com.au
They can be a little more expensive per item but you save on freight as they are based in South Australia

thanks Bitten, already tried Ray, no good.
ANYONE have a Suzy shop that have a lot of old stock???? Already tried Mick Hone etc. FOUND a NLA circlip from a former dealer at Brookvale NSW, i was sent there by Adrian at Mick Hone. ANYONE know who the Suzy dealer in Tassie that was advertising a lot of NOS stuff last year?????
LOZZA, is there a dealer with old stock in UNZUD??????

No old stock in NZ mate.
But try Crooks Suzuki in the UK.

I use a company in Holland that has 3million bearings in stock and many odd ball bearings. Sounds like a needle roller with a steel case on the OD (for get the name of them).
Start an account at ABF Bearings and that will let you search the stock. If you find it I can help with the shipping.
