Just received the 'final instructions' and Sat & Sun 'race schedules' for the event at Lardner Park in Warragul (Vic), there are classes for Pre 80, Pre 85 and Pre 90, plus 'Over 35' and 'Over 45'.
It seems things are going to be a little casual on the weekend, the organisers are a little vague on the vmx aspects and have asked that we organize ourselves into correct classes.
I entered for 'Pre 90' (as that was the only vmx class on the entry-form) with my '79 KX400 with '84 disc front end, but they not knowing my mods just put me in 'Pre 80'. They said they don't mind if you guys don't ..... ha ha, you don't do you?!!!! (It'd be different if it was C swingarm with brake lug ;-) ).
Looks like we'll all do our own 'eligability' checks on the weekend; should be fun lol :-) I guess we'll all get together on Sat morning to decide who's in what class?

Can't wait should be great fun, the track should be primo on Saturday, might be a bit chopped up when I ride it again Sunday in open class haha

Yeh I'm riding my RMZ450 in the Master's class on Sunday, see ya there :-)

Yeah Darren mcmuffin has entered that class too but he will be on one of his old CRs in that!! Should be good to compare modern to a mugen!

Just been reading all the pre-race banter for the Thumpercross this weekend. I think it's good we can get our vintage bikes out in front of the public that watch modern bikes all the time.
Make sure you guys bring down a few extra bikes/garage queens to display as well as ride.
I will be bringing down four bikes to ride and display including THE MOST COLLECTABLE DIRT BIKE IN THE WORLD!!
This event will give more momentum to our sport and VMX/Viper as we look towards 2014

Have fun you lot.... If I would of known there was a pre 80 class I would of come along. Too late now as I have someone coming to buy a bike on Sunday... I can hardly wait for next year. This year has been very trying in more ways than I care to remember.

Wow, nice fast track. Great video, thanks.

quick recovery Arno on lap 2, and then you picked up another 2 at the end. Henry was all over the Muffin Man towards end lap 1.
What a great day that was, 6 races for each class and a nice fast flowing track.

D Project - I have been in training for 45+ class in 2015..... :-X
Naah but really, busy year with kids sport or mad work, that has just got away from me.
NEXT YEAR IT IS ON (Moving to Saturday only sport and changed Employment).
Will start training regime, tomorrow... ;)

Pull your finger out Scunge,or you'll be an old decrepid cloth cap wearing, pipe smoking geriatic ie pre 75 rider, and incapable of riding those sweet pre 85 and pre 90 bikes.
Good to see Jason is flying the flag for team Suzuki this season!

What a great event, I won't be missing it next year (unless it pours down, then 'no' I think). Hilly made me feel like girl for not enduring the mud on Sunday, he rode like a trooper, slogged-away and finished every race!
I set the 'bar' high with my first race, first home in the combined Pre 90 & Pre 80 race, was stoked to leave a few water-cooled CR500's in my wake on the new KX :-) Second in race two, it all went down-hill for me from there on, I couldn't increase my speed on the drying track.

Wish I went now , missed the entry close date , hopefully it's on again next year
