Title: Pre '70 Pursang on Swapmeet
Post by: firko on October 29, 2013, 10:11:58 am
These old Pursangs are extremely competitive in 250/Pre 70, motocross or dirt track. This one looks pretty complete and reasonably original. Well priced at $800.

1968 Bultaco Pursang, 250 cc, Model 48 .
this bike is mostly all there? missing carb. air intake system and number plates, Front brake lever, cable, brake shoes and shaft ?
This Pursang came into the U.S. with a 19" front wheel and universal tires and was built for U.S TT-Scrambles and Flattrack ? The Mod.42, Mod 48,and Mod 68 dominated TT-Scramble's, short track, and flat track 250cc class for many year's . I know because I rode one from 1967 to 1971 and did my share of first place . I saw a Mod 42 win Daytona in the early eighty's over all the newer bikes, there was NO Vintage class then. This 250 cc Pursang need's a complete restoration, but there is a lot to work with and when finished right will win many AHRMA Flat track and Short track race's $800.Last chance, might restore this one?  I drooled over that model when I first saw it perform at Moorebank.
