Title: Cr125 1984 shock will the 1985 shock fit?

Does anyone know if the 84 and 85 shock are the same?
If not do you know the difference?

85's are longer. Only 84 fits 84 .

83 - 16"
84- 16.88"
85/86 - varies but around 17.75"

So a inch longer will it work if I adjust the spring preload?
Is the compressed length the same?
