Title: CZ chains any good?
Post by: Nathan S on May 28, 2008, 09:51:04 pm
I'm told that back in ye olde dayes, the CZ chain was THE chain to have. Tough as nails and slow wearing, according to what I've heard.

Is it still true? There's a few on Epay ATM, at ~$40 inc postage (for a 428), which seems pretty good if they're decent quality.

I used 'em for years with no problems whatsoever. I've got one on the Maico and it's been there for years. Modern O ring chains are most probably better these days but a CZ chain won't stretch, twist or let you down. Like CZ bikes the chains are good, strong and bulletproof.

i'll give em the thumbs up too! i ran one on a TTR250 for ages and the bike was very neglected and well used with zero problems from the chain.
