yep thats the one doc thanks
-
I haven't been able to post links either ???, must be a glitch with the server...
-
This reminds me of something I have been meaning to ask. I use Village Photo to post shots and I'm more than happy with it but notice that many of you use Photobucket. Can anyone fill me in on which one is the better system? Are there any others I should consider?
-
Firko, I use both Village photos and Photobucket and also Flickr.com flickr is my pick of the bunch with it's simple format but it limits 200 pics for the free accounts. Photobucket is good also as I just seem to be able to keep adding picture after picture and some are quite large in file size.
-
Yup me too. I posted in "System problems" Earlier today
-
Firko,I use resize2mail.com and its heeps faster than the bucket.
Then I save it to my files for later,or when I have to forward onto www.vmxwa.com
We live out of town, so have satalite on the roof, heeps faster than anything else we have had.
Land lines are bad news with electric fences..alison

The BEST place to host your files is on your own webspace that 99% of ISP provide to you as part of your account.
check out your ISP account details and you will find you have webspace that I bet your not utilizing.
Some ISP give you a nice easy to use interface to upload the files but others dont and then you will need an FTP programe to do that task.

Pokey ya bloods worth bottlen..
We are with bordernet satelite its in NZ too, for the long white cloud folk.

File Transfer Protocol.
is just another way of ssending files mate.
I will have a bit of a look around and see if I can find a direct link for an easy Free program for you guys that need one.. Do check out your ISP home page (sign in ) and see if they dont already have one .
-
Not sure where the problem is. The OzVMX server has been a bit flakey today so possibly some maintenance being undertaken on it. I've just gone through and done some tidy up on OzVMX itself including emptying out old image files that were using up my disc space. Let's see how it goes tomorrow.
Here's a test image to see what happens this time...
-
Hmm it dont like links Graeme . tried to post the address to the software and I scored an error msg mate.
Maybe if the guys PM me we can get it that way
Better yet email me guys and i can shoot you the info that way. button is over there

Over the last two or three days I'm finding the login procedure takes two goes.
After tapping in name and password the 'Internal Server Error' message appears.
I click on the 'go back a page arrow' and the login boxes reappear.
My name is there but I have to re-type password; and then I'm in.
I mention in case it's a part of the jigsaw for the Boffins.
and here's an attachment to check out the photo loading thing.
-
And here's that message thing:

Apparently my host has upgraded some software, so I need to make some configuration changes. Will do that later this evening so hopefully all will be back to normal soon.
Patience grasshoppers...
-
OK, that didn't work. I'll try upgrading the forum software later this evening. I'll probably lock it for an hour or so around 11 PM. Hopefully it won't break it!
-
Still not accepting photobucket :-\.
-
Wouldn't let me make an attachment eirther :-\.
-
The same story with me. I tried to upload a couple of photos through VillagePhotos and a URL and both failed.

I don't load from the off site providers ('bucket/village etc); my pics are straight from my computer and they seem to load OK.

HA!! no, not me. I'm not so trim...
It was a pic from a random e-mail titled 'Why women should remain single'.
Ten or so photos of .... well, people like old mate in the Canary suit.
Surely this bloke and others were 'self shots' coz I doubt they'd ask a mate to take the photo!
-

-
Paul try Paint ...image - stretch /skew to 40 %
-

greame i tried to post a ebay address and that came up with the same error

Yep, still don't work. I've done a bit of tweaking and researching it but can't figure it out. I'll report it again to my hosting team and see what we can get.
-

Ditto here, thats seems to be the link.
-
What's the go with the link problem Graeme? I still can't upload using Village Photos and I'm too impatient to use PhotoShop. Any updates?
-
I really don't know. My host seems to think it's a security problem following an update to their systems. But there hasn't been any solution forthcoming. The last from them was that they thought they were on the trail to tracking down the problems. I have also been having big problems just logging in.
-
im going crazy just as well the rubber neck saga ended ,or id have to send my pics via the post office ;)
