Title: How do you Removing old paint from engine.

I want to remove old black paint that has been painted on engine badly was just wondering what's the best way without pulling it apart?.

paint stripper, just be carefull with alloy!
high pressure jet blaster if its flaking
good old sandpaper and a couple of miserable hours
