Title: PICKED UP A YZ 250C
Post by: Rookie#1 on September 18, 2013, 07:13:43 pm
This lil gem came up on ebay today, called the number and after speaking to the fella turns out he's the owner of a SUZ/KAW dealer on the other side of town. After a quick revealing that i also spend my days working at Suzuki dealer we came to a VERY fair price :D looking forward to getting hold of it. Need a lil love as can be seen but don't they all!  ;)

I bought one of these in the 90's for $80.00 that could be ridden , I was shocked at how much heavier it was compared to my YZ A I owned at the time and sold it to the first person who made an offer at $300.00. Yeah I should have kept it story. How did the YZ put on soooo much weight between models.

I have one of these and it was in similar condition to yours Rookie#1. It's had a complete resto costing an insane amount of cash. I enjoy racing this bike and agree with Slakewell, as it is a very heavy bike.

I've seen this bike .. it's very nice and quick too.  I must admit that I wasn't aware it was so heavy (I'll remember that next time we're racing together  :)) ... they sure changed a lot between the C and D models.

I'm sure with a good diet and some smart thinking you can build a good racer from what you have. Enjoy Rookie
