anyone know how many mm bftdc on the big beasty ;D

Found lots of confliction info depending on the model of ignition but 1.45-1.55mm BTDC seemed to be common

ok thats what it is so thats ok have to look elsewhere has no top end from the mid range up
leaned the jetting way down and it improved a lot but still shit back to the drawing board :'(

Proper 500cc engine timing depends on the ignition system you have:

- Standard MX ignition (Motoplat 9600 176-1): 2.2 mm  BTDC
- SEM K10:  2.2 mm  BTDC
- SEM K11: 1.5 mm  BTDC

I forgot to mention. When setting the timing BTDC, I would suggest you use one micrometer for proper setting. If you are just a few tenths of millimeters out of the recommended timing, it will make a difference.

ok its a motoplat and set at 1.5 will redo it to 2.2 and see what happens  ;)
