I just bought one of these, but don't know the age of it?
It is the first early style of rotary induction engine.

Gooday Brett, that sounds like a very good idea, since it was so dirt cheap 8)
I couldn't help myself, just scored three days work in the big smoke with a half empty work truck :)
so I did a quick search, and what do ya know, only bidder :)
My first experience of the two stroke rush;
didn't happen on my mates Bantam :-\
It happened on my other mates Rotary Induction Kawasaki 120, "Bush Ranger" I think it was called?

Bugger was looking for a sub 200cc bike to register. Looks KH125 based, so that can be made to put out some serious HP. In standard form you will be limited by a shit ignition, ditch that and worlds your oyster. Don't be afraid of switching pistons on them as standard KHI and aftermarket replacements will do this when everything else is sorted. For mx the frame geometery doesn't look the best, but who cares when you can out drag everyone. ;)

Lozza, I got a 1980 KE125 that'll go OK with a bit of work and has all the road legal stuff on it. And it's in Mayfield too! If you're interested let me know.

Mine was picked up today. Apparently its a KS125 ?? build date on plate 4/74

Anyhow as you say, on paper this little KS girl with it's six speed box and rotary disk induction

Similar graphics as mine, just a different colour.
From what I can find so far, this style of graphics seems only to be for 74? I am thinking?
I am liking the look of the Green Machine theme heaps more than Mellow Yellow, that's for sure

1974 KS125 - that's right "in the zone"
I'm not sure what the gear ratios are but it's likely that a KX top end and rotary valve will bolt right on. Failing that, a good port job, cut valve and larger carb will get it cooking.
KS 125 forks share some common parts with the KX. Generally, parts are readily available. Some parts are still available from Kawasaki.
I have a "Dirt Bike" article on making the KX better....

You posted it once before, I thought it had a different seat on it then?
It was staring at it that got me started down this path Doc. I have collected an early KH100 bottom end and a set of 125 internals. I bought this bike for spares actually. But now I have found it to be a 74,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,well as you can imagine, it is a pleasant surprise that changes my previous intentions :)

hi, a dyno chart in an old mag for the 74 KS125 states 4.8hp@4000rpm 6.9@5000 9.8@6000 and peaks at 10.4@7500.
kawasaki, claimed 13@6500 ,may need some teeth to do some munching. cheers g.

Mick I think you'll find the KH100 bottom end is no use to you. The 100 & 125 Kaw engines are completely different.
I think I still have a spare KX125 cylinder in the shed if yr interested.

After what David said I bought a new KX head from Vic and a used KX Cylinder from US.
I will post pics and links tonight after work.
