Looking for info regarding standard teeth numbers on counter and rear sprockets for 1980 PE 250 T. Also local supplier at realistic prices. Thanks Jerry
-
Jerry, look up "alpha sports" and click on the model year you want, they have the original parts diagrams which will list the std sprockets and alternative ones.

Thank you John. How's recovery going? J
-
Also looking for a workshop manual. J

Recovery's sort of stopped at the moment, waiting for a L/H hip replacement, they fixed the pelvis OK but the top of the femur is wearing away...bone on bone....so I'm a drug addict at the moment.
-
On alpha sports 13 and 52 for sprocket sizes.

Just talking to a bloke who had a trick titanium hip put in 7 months ago. Reckons best thing he ever did. They say he should get 8-10 years out of it and then they replace the wear block in a simple op and off you go again. He reckons he has full movement , climbs ladders, roots etc. have to get mine done in near future. J

Clymer made a pe175 250 400 manual it is pretty good you can download that too from the pe skydrive but it is good to have a hard copy they come up on ebay a bit.

I might have to get me one of those Titainium jobbies to then....I wonder if that will get me any chicky babes?

Oh yeah Jezza,My parts book says 13/52 ;)
-
The 1980 pe250 parts catalouge says 13 52 I don't like to ever run a bigger front sprocket only because there is stuff all room from front sprocket to the clutch actuator always seems to be some damage to that area from the chain.

Thanks guys. Any suitable suppliers in Oz? J

Your favourite local bike shop should be able to get them for you through one of the wholesalers like Cykel or A1 accessories or whoever they get non genuine sprockets off,or you can buy direct off Chaingang or search Oz ebay :)
