Title: White Power colours

They came in black and crimson colours. Can anyone tell me if they just changed the colour after a certain year? They have the markings Y2 88 and 50-87 on the tops. Were they to suit an 88 yz? I pulled them off an 89 cr250. They are crimson in colour.

I thought Walter would have chimed in by now......
Your on the money with the ID. "Y" Yamaha "2" 250 "88" 1988....If I remember correctly.
The other code is manufacture date. Possibly 5/10/1987.
As for colour, I have seen them in both colours for that time, so it was possibly a customer preference at time of purchase, although I never had enough money to buy a pair new in 88/89 so I couldn't confirm that ::)

Do you have any idea regarding the black versus crimson colours? Like did they make black ones up till a certain date?

Week 50 would be December.
