Title: Honda XL250 are the parts interchangable to 350
Post by: jimson on September 13, 2013, 12:27:04 pm
G,day viewers I have a early 70s Honda XL 350 and also 250 are any of the parts interchangeble. I want to keep the 350 but thought of selling the 250 both are 1973 engines. Jimson

Do up a 250 as a spare unit, bolts straight in ;)

Are you sure about the rockers being the same Mark? I have been told that they are a different ratio?

The 250 vs. 350 rockers that I measured were slightly different in the width between the valves.  They would probably work but the adjuster pins won't be on center.  Pretty sure that the 250 that I measured was from a TL but I don't think there was any difference in valve spacing between the TL and XL250s.
