I propose for those that can afford it to not take your refund for CD10.
But leave it as a pool fund for Ken & Ajay to use.
Be it to cover out of pocket expense on trying to set up this years event or use for the next event.
If all you whingers are serious about helping to keep this event going put your money where your mouth is.
Yes I called some of you whingers, If the shoe fits wear it!
For you obviously have no idea what is involved in organising an event of this size. An the inherent risk/stress both financially and personally
Curly
PS for all those that have stood by the crew at VMX mag through this past weeks be proud of yourself for without you there would be no VMX mag or events

Well I want my refund Thank you, and I have promoted much larger meetings than classic dirt Mate, and I was very understanding to competitors that requested a refund. i am not a charity, i give enough to Cancer charity and children Hospitals each years. Its there lost not mine. lets more forward and see what 2014 will bring.

Which would they be Dave? With Classic Dirt with hosting over 600 entries and 1000 plus bikes at its peak your mega extravaganza must have been a doozie.
I'll put my hand up for the VMX crew to hold the three entries I did on my card. It's a great idea but I can't see the lads agreeing to do it. (although I hope they do, it'd be good working capital to perhaps get an overseas rider or two for next year).

Hopefully some of the Suzuki sponsorship stays with The VMX Crew as they received some visibility from the process so far

MARK you are alway putting me down and you alway big note yourself, if you need to know, I was the main man that formed a 15 man team with the Shire of Mortlake to reintroduce mortlake race meeting at mount Shadwell. 1993, the event was massive, 4500 spectators through the grate and over 250 riders on the day. I also personally organised a fundraiser for the make -a-wish Foundation for kids with cancer, this was held a the Barwon Park mansion, part of that I organised a round of the Victorian Vintage motocross series on the same weekend, Peter Brook was their in person, fun park for the kids, vintage car displays, the list goes on. plus lots of colac race meetings, so don't try to make me into a fool to feed your ego in front of your mates that get on here.
And as for you Paul, the stones you throw don`t hurt, grow up.

It's a lovely and thoughtful idea but I can't see the masses jumping at it, if we're truly gonna put the demise of this years event down to economic climate and that's the case then I'd imagine most could put the money returned to good use. Just my 2c.
For the record and i didn't enter nor ever had any intention of going.
Cheers, Brendan

Good work Dave but NOT anywhere as big as Classic Dirt. I like you Dave but it annoys the shit out of me when you say stupid thing like that. Classic Dirt is the biggest dirt bike event in Australia, which you'd have known if you'd been to one in the last few years. You're the one making a fool Dave by saying dumb flucking things without thinking them through. If people taking the piss annoys you, think before you post.
The way I understand it, and I assume it's what Curly meant is that by holding back our entry money it would cover our entries next year and create an early kitty to get things rolling for the next CD. I think Dave thought it was a donation....It's not that at all, it's just holding the entry fee over for when it's eventually held.

You guys just don't give up.
Snap out of it before everything is locked

I apologise but his post annoyed me because I know how much work goes into CD. I'm over it now and will now go to bed a happy man now I can race at Canowindra.
