Get ready for an awesome day of Dirt track, four clubs have banded together for a great cause, supp regs will be out soon!! All money raised will go into the research of Motor Neurone Disease. This event is open to all, however, you will need to be a member of either clubs, BMCC is offering membership on the day for $5 :)

There will be a legends type race with riders like Steve Gall etc, I'm ringing around to see who else will front up but it will be big....I will keep you posted. Get behind this event, it's a great cause and it's good to put money back into the community. This will be a great way to finish off the year. 8)

G'day Jackie, is there any chance of including MMCC as part of the interclub?
Cheers,
Steve

I think we would love all you guys coming down.

Most of them that would attend are probably members of SCMCC anyway. Will there be a slider class,
Cheers,
Steve

Anyone got a useable rear tyre suitable to this track that I could have or borrow? Needs to be an 18 inch to fit my CZ400.
Thanks in advance

Hi hit the reply button but don't know who I am replying to, not forum savvy yet.
https://give.everydayhero.com/au/miles-for-mal-1
the above URL and the link on the Qvmx website is where QVMX members can donate to this cause.
It astounds me that people ask about classes on the day , clubs involved, tyres requried etc, and a myriad of questions but haven't yet donated
any money at all (small amounts welcome).
Thank you
-
Hi Foxy 969
back protectors are a good idea, I'll be wearing one at the AGM for sure.
-
Hi Andrew, Well the QVMX page on everyday hero looks healthy now :) One of our sponsors just boosted it up :) :)
G'day Jackie, is there any chance of including MMCC as part of the interclub?

MILES FOR MAL
With less than 2 weeks away from Brisbane Motorcycle Clubs interclub Charity event "Miles for Mal" which is on 17th November 2013. Although you can enter on the day it is appreciated if entry forms are received prior to this event. It helps make the sign in and starting of our day to be a much smoother process. As most of you are aware this event is raising much needed funds for the research into Motor Neurone Disease and also equipment eg: A simple $20 donation can buy a piece of equipment that helps fasten buttons on clothing that helps people with MND manage personal needs independently for a longer period of time.
If you would like to support our fundraising efforts you can make a donation by logging onto https://give.everydayhero.com/au/bmcc
Remember back protectors are a must.
Kind Regards

Just a reminder that KEV warned us at Harrisville as part of the fundraising on the day he will be fining us for different reasons throughout the day. So keep a couple of $5 notes with you to support this worthwhile event.
All money raised is going to research into Motor Neurone Disease and equipment for people with MND.
Thank you for all the support we have received to date. With only a few days to the event it is getting really exciting for us.
Look forward to seeing you all there.
Regards Lisa

What a brilliant day :) thanks to everybody who participated in today's event, no rain, good turn out, no idea how much was raised today, but the treasurer will let us know :) and I will post up as soon as I know. Kev Apps did an awesome job as clerk of the course, commentator, and fined heaps of riders :D ;D Brain Fox had a fall and is spending the night in hospital, but should be home tomorrow :)
Keep Smiling :)

Congratulations Jackie and all concerned. A great outcome, contribuiting to a worthy cause, a great day's racing and socialising, and a very good public relations excercise all in one magnificent effort.
And more good news is Brian went home last night from hospital.
-
Thanks Col, Lisa and I are really happy with how the day went, but as you know, it takes a good team behind you to make something like this work, and Lisa and I were very fortunate to of had that backing. On our everyday hero page we have raised $9,422.45 and money raised from yesterdays event not yet confirmed but so far is $4539.45 :)
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone.
Keep Smiling :)

It was one of the most laid back fun days I've had at the track in a long time some nice bikes there to met a heap of great ppl from all around and very helpful ppl, I thought I took enough spares but the one thing I needed was a welder or spare gear shifter after busting it on me slider and I was lucky enough to get a lend of one off foxy if he's on here thanks a million kept me out the and also Jackie or Lisa thank kev for makin us run around clockwise on the sliders what fun that was with the swing peg on the wrong side ::) ;D
-
I would also like to thank everybody who donated and or came, helped run the event, I had a ball, even got the "old team" back together for a few laps on the trolley (thanks Lisa.....sorry for yelling at you again to go faster...lol)....It was the biggest vintage dirt track we have done and a great way to end the year. It was good to see Dave Armstrong out there and Kelvin Brewster, his first race for 20 years.....we got another sucker, I mean rider back on the track ;D...he was certainly pedalling pretty fast at the end of the day, Johnny Kittle had a awesome day riding 3 bikes, he hadn't done a flat track for 15 years or so but you wouldn't know it. All I saw all day was smiles and great commaraderie, even when Kevvy Apps was fineing riders for what ever reason he thought appropriate. I would like to thank Team Moto Moorooka for the awesome helmut they donated and John Titman Racing for the box of goodies and gearbag they gave that all got raffled off. It's a great cause and Jackie and Lisa and everyone else did an awesome job, anyone who hasn't donated still can.....it would be great break the 15K mark....come on fellas....dig deep. I cant wait till we do it again next year. All you slack arses that didn't come, you missed a great day!!!! 8)

Err with the exception of the hospital trip eh Brian :)

Went out to have a watch. Was really impressed with the amount of sliders. Know that the hagon Suzuki had a few problems but what a nice bit of kit as was the cr250 honda slider. Vern's baby Jap (350) did a rod early otherwise there were about 8 sliders. Hope to add to that number next year with the son on a hagon jawa and myself puttering about on a very early godden wessie. Top effort from everyone.
