I will confirm this week if I am traveling to the Nats from Sydney. It's a 99.9% certainty
As I am only taking one bike I will have room for 2 bikes inside my trailer ( locked up ) and a couple on the back of my truck ( cable padlocked to the truck ) I don't plan to stop on way up or back so bikes will be safe from theft.
So anybody that is considering going but is worried about the logistics and costs associated with getting their bikes there can rest easy as I will transport your bikes, gear bags, tools, spares, empty fuel cans ( I suggest getting fuel there, not a fan of full fuel drums on the tray ) etc
I live in western Sydney at the foot of the mountains. You will need to get your bikes to my place prior to leaving date, which will be the Thursday before the Nats with your own tie downs.
That way you guys can car pool to keep the costs down.
Us that we're at the Buladelah meeting on the weekend heard the Committee ask us to attend this meeting. I believe we should turn up in numbers to make this event a huge success. Especially after Classic Dirt has been cancelled. It's not good seeing CD cancelled but a bonus for some is that it will free up some extra cash and also some browny points.
There will be no payment required from Heaven members that take up this offer
Cheers Ted

Great offer Ted.We'd love to see those Jawas come up for Pre60

Thats a great offer youve put forward there Teddles...
The more the merrier and the track/facilities will be sure to please..
See you there...

That's a great gesture Ted. I'm really hoping we can get a decent line up of NSW racers up there for the Nats. Seeing that CD10 has been cancelled, the budget we may have been saving for that event might now be able to used for the Nats. There's definitely a positive vibe in the air, more's the pity the same enthusiasm wasn't obvious leading up to the Post Classic Nats cancellation. Still, that horse has bolted so lets get up to Wyaralong and show that NSW racers can support these meetings when needed.

Thanks Simo After your track appraisal I will bring every tyre combo known to man .. Hehe
-
And if anyone out there isn't keen to travel up north, the Classic DT nats are on at Temora NSW in OCT.

LOL .. well I did hit that tree at a good rate of knots John :-[ Shit I thought we were talking about the post classic nats at Toowoomba next year .. we've got so much going on up here it's hard to keep track .. well that's my excuse.
Anyway I'll delete what I wrote above ;D
-
Last year, given that it was the first time it was used..I would consider the surface to be soft.. I'll be fitting a couple of new MX31 Dunlops for the weekend..
-
Track is a mix of hard pack in places and sandy loam in others. None is extreme either way.
-
I will be fitting two tyres one at each end, in fact damn it I'll leave the one's on there will make no difference to my riding ability or lack of it!! But I will have a bottle of tequila for medicinal purposes!!!

I have quickly scanned through these posts and I see a question has been asked about tyre choice. Probably sand or mud tyres are the correct choice. Or maybe even an intermediate. The track will be ploughed and well watered, there is a full sprinkler system in place. There will be some sections that aren't lose but the majority will be.
While these are covered in the sup-regs just a reminder of several points.
1. Hot showers are available
2. Camping is permitted (but there is a fee)
3. No tear-offs (get yourself some roll-offs)
4. Camp fires must be in approved drums (eg the drum must not be directly on the ground) There will be some available but they are limited.
5. There will be fire wood for sale.
If there are any questions do not hesitate to ask.

There wouldn't be any in NSW let alone HEAVEN. There is no sidecar motocross in NSW at all and hasn't been any since the 50's.
-
Sorry I thought Heaven was in Victoria .....or so they say anyway, but then they haven't lived up here.
Heaven is actually in Tassie or across the Tassie sea more likely ;D
-
There's 2 sidecars in NSW 1 in Sydney and 1 in Camberra, the 1 in Sydney is Pre 90 not sure what the other is, and the lakes track is now approved for sidecars, hopefully soon we will be able to get down there to an event and put on a show for them....
-
Guys I have room for 2 bikes only. Two definite spots have been taken
-
If any one wants those spots ted let them have them.
I wont' be able to commit for a few weeks and can sort something later.
