I love those rigs! The matching riding gear always adds to the visual impact.
I haven't seen matching Union Jacks before - so how did Ginger and Posh place on the day?

Wombat , thats the benefits with racing sidecars . They should only allow two per team , otherwise it gets out of hand. ;D

Well its fridee night and we are packing tomorrow for the last event of the year.
Narrogin about 170km SW Perth.
I reckon there will be a full grid of sidecars again to top a grand year off,
no trophies/points here just plain old fun.
Running  A,B,C,over 55's grades ( entering which class you reckon will it suit you) and feature all in solos.
Another good year to be alive.
see you on the dirt.
cheers Bigbird WA

Morphine and Pethidine...... The only two good "MP"s  I know of in a crisis
You know I heard that for years, "It's a real buzz...ya feel like ya floating...the best thing about being hurt is the fantastic drugs!"
Well, colour me disillusioned!! >:(

I've had these drugs for various bone breaks and pre-operative mellowings and all I experienced was nausea.
Sat there everytime feeling miserable and teetering on the brink of throwing up; like I felt when Kylie hooked up with Michael Hutchence...

But hey! You didn't drop a Vespa whilst avoiding a pedestrian!
You got hurt racing a motorcycle. And that has serious cred! ;) 8)

Good luck with the mending over there; it's such a drag waiting for things to heal.
Title: Re: Western Side
Post by: VMX247 on October 27, 2008, 07:18:15 pm
Hi Tim, thanks for the regards and advise on the drugs. Bit of a pisser for the end of the year. Was already priming myself for the first water ski of the year. Least the crew wont be arguing about who's driving the boat.  :(
I was hoping that the thing they say about passengers staying passengers and not touching the go fast bit wasn't true, unfortunately I might be proving it to myself. :-\ Still, I couldn't have a sidecar sitting around while my brother was out of action, and given the thing was just sitting there .... someone else was keen to jump on the side.... and ... well you know the story ::). Least this injury is only a bit of a reality / capability reminder and not a show stopper.
cheers
Steven :)

Steven ,My eldest son Daniel was always the passenger to his younger ( But way loonier) brother Matt. Yes the first time Daniel took the twistgrip when Matt went to Western Oz (??weird huh) he landed the 754 on his right foot and broke 7 confirmed bones in it ,in reality a lot more, so much they did not bother too operate. he has a limp and a club foot now for life.  Don't stop him bragging about it if people stupidly ask though!
Wombat next time get a descent shot of Maxilon first should settle the tummy ready for cloud 259.... :D
Broken bones are good for bench racing and later life bulldust :D  but dont try kidney stones........They really are the worst..

Incorrect according to the nursing sisters that attended, All three had had both and soundly voted the stones far worse by far for excruciating nastiness, mind you kids are painfull for years and years;)  ...................... But then again my last stone had some spikes on it and tore a gash 50 mil long in my left lower kidney and down the uthera till it became stuck in transit, then good grief they operated on my ##### to remove it.... :P Hows hubbies arm gees not has drinking  one is it!!!! ;)
Hey the surgeons name was Professor Richard Stone!!!! Yep Dick Stone removed the stone from my......... :D :D :D :D :D

Don't worry about the straights, plenty of punters were getting the rust off the teeth of their top gears ! And to compound matters, the kindly farmer whose joint we went to trash jumped on Uncle Ken's Cheney Gold Star and galloped it hard in pre-'65, while his young bloke leapt aboard and went out and carved the boys up in B Grade ! Sensational. A quick, undulating, 1.9km lap, a foggy morning clearing to a cloudless but cool sunny afternoon, canteen run by the locals featuring magic lamb and gravy rolls, a Pony Express event with a shotgun start, tight competition and a few beers afterwards, genuine fun club day out. Huge thanks to Steve Povee who did the groundwork, and to the track inspectors who couldn't be there....betcha they don't miss the next one.... ;)

With a knee, shoulder op, a cracked primary case and the pre85 solo bikes getting the extra attention~Its been two years since the Norton/Wasp 850 has done some skids.
Another PC arrived in from UK and a extra protection piece put in place on the chain guide. She's now ready to go tomorrow for the natural terrain paddocks over at Boddington/Quindaning. Yep photos will follow  :P

why is that you got empty chairs ?

Had a new pilot today along with others new to the sport. Eight sidecars. What a roar   :P
Technique needed on a new track with more than the usual amount of corners/off camber and some dust.It was a nice test for anyone either sidecar or solo. Thanks to the local fire truck for keeping the dust particles at bay for the afternoon. Much appreciated.
56 riders/passengers rolled up to another beautiful farm scenery, better than NZ  ;)  ;D
Magic Day with four rounds squeezed in before the rain hit at 3pm.The "all in" won by a rider from Waroona.

PHOTPS OF SIDECARS...Who would think of such rubbish. There's nobody the slightest bit interested in  that crap. Put up some action shots from the golf instead.

One more power ball/lotto and you can come play golf with us  ;D
on your own West Oz track  :P

Rumour has it, if they can arrange it you could have Cook, Van Der linden and Johnson over there plus the Dillons.  I believe they are trying to work it out.  Can't promise anything
