What is the biggest Bighorn anyone has seen.....can they be built into a 400 or bigger and what sort of HP do they/can they make?

Think there was a 'evaluation' 400 big horn in the US there is a pic floating round on the net, looks just like a 350 believe it or not. Don't think it ever went into production.
HP will depend on the fuel you use and what you use it for, but 50 disc valve HP is easy done. He doesn't ride it much since he got his TZ750's but Dave Crussell from the US had 51hp at the wheel from his Scott Clough tuned Big Horn road racer. Was still a mild state of tune.
I'll have to pull a crank out and have look to see if they could be stroked the cylinder can go out a bit so 370-380cc might be do-able.

The carb is in front of the disc and no you can't really embiggened the disc (it's not a word either but probably should be :D) What to get right is the timing of the disc. What's this for? Largest carb you could get with a modified disc cover would be a 40/44mm Mikuni.

Biggest Bighorn? perhaps half a dozen Viagra tabs in the fuel mix...... :-*

350 Bighorn sound like it can make 50HP easy and will have abroad band. Perfect for trikes.
I understand the carby is before the disc and now read that bigger carbs can be fitted but it's better to move the disc(port timing)
It really sounds like someone shoulda done this a while ago and I don't normally do green...but who knows.

Yes I had ask if you said anything other than a sidecar,then I would have known that labotomy's are reversable :D :D :D.
Port timing and disc timing are not intertwined as much as they are on other two strokes. All sorts of sneaky things we can do these days ;)

There's a 3 page article on Neil & his bike in the September Kiwirider magazine, didn't realize it was now running efi.
Wasn't he running a period hillborn? or similar setup a couple of years ago when it holed the piston playing in the maize paddock at whakatane?

They are out there just have to get them before the 'spliter-upper-ers' get to them and list every single circlip on ebay ;)
