Well I finally got my own track, no more bitching about how others prepare the track, I see a lot of hard work coming up.
This is the west valley looking down it.

I'm looking forward to having a few vintage ride days there :-)
-
Yeah good for you John. Looks great, I bet you'l have some friends now ;)
Don't forget to give us a sqizz, when you get one of those helmet camera U tube things.
-
Nice!!!
Looks even better than you described it John.
Some motivation to get these RM's finished...
-
That looks awesome Johnny! Are you planning on keeping it largely "natural" terrain as its shown here or shifting some dirt around to make more jumps??
-
That is a awesome looking property there John, I look forward to seeing how it all go's for you, if you have a ride day there I would love to come along and take some photos of all and maybe even a ride.
Cheers Mick.
-
Looks like viper will have an extra round next year ;D
-
Actions do indeed speak louder than words John. Well done you! Can I take this opportunity to formally apply to be your new best friend? Cheers Jerry
-
Looks great, do we get an aerial shot :D
-
Thanks Guy's :-)
I'll generally try and keep it 'natural terrain, if I put in any jumps I'll make a by-pass track around them.
Once I get the place in order I'll have a few bbq/ride days, all here will be invited.
Once I have the track lookin 'picture perfect' I'll book a light plane trip to take some pics.
-
That's fantastic. :)
-
well Done John.... your living the dream mate.
i really admire your energy to get things done. Mitchell ride days, own track, resto's etc.
-
Well done John......where exactly on the planet is this little slice of heaven?
-
Very nice you give us all something to aim for.
-
John,
Let me start with NICE !
I don't want to be your next new best friend but am willing to come and churn out a few laps on your track, help you drink your beer and eat your meat(partial to T-Bones but sangers will do).
I'll supply the sauce for the barbie an seeing how I'm feeling generous I'll even bring my own bike.
Your good for the fuel aren't you John ????
Cheers Curly
I know what you're all thinking, it's ok I know how to win friends & influence others!
-
John,I am gonna borrow some words from an old ADB big bore test & say you have turned real estate into UNREAL ESTATE,well done mate, only about an hour and a half from my place too ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
-
Well done John......where exactly on the planet is this little slice of heaven?
10k's out of Heathcote (Vic).

CD11:)
-
Neat!!!congratulations John :D
-
Well done Johnny!
Looks fantastic, Scooter News would love to come up to photograph your first vintage race meet
At least you won't have to worry when they cancel the Mitchell Ride Days on you...
-
congrats John, the track looks great-hope you enjoy many years riding it.Ive had a track for many years(natural terrain mx/grasstrack) and I definitely spend more hours per year working/maintaining it than riding it , that includes layout changes to keep it interesting (and riding it anti clockwise) in summer the track quickly disappears as the paddock grows.Few things in life are better than an arvo ride with mates and a BBQ and beers after, once over 40 guys turned up -the mrs thought it was a bit much. cheers g.
-
Sensational.... as expected, well done.
-
Looks great John you have been looking for a while..
Enjoy it...

CD11:)
Nah the property is too small for that, I may like to run 'Pre 2000 Bonanza' ;-)
-
Well done John, love your work and your passion for the sport.
-
I finished rotory hoeing the track over the weekend, having a test ride this Wed, who wants to come?
-
Ahh John, you really do know how to make dreams come true. Good for you.
I'd ordinarily be rushing to Heathcote tomorrow to meet you and help run the track in ;D but seeing as I had a run in with an errant 'roo and some railway tracks yesterday arvo on the Husaberg, I'm going to have to miss out on the invitation. The ribs are a bit tender this morning. Stupid me was only going for a quick blat so I didn't put the body armour on, just the helmet and goggles which was a stroke of good management as there are now a few extra battle scars on the lid.....
Thanks for the invite and have fun running the track in
Mark

Ah bummer Mark, when do you think you'll be back on the bike again? I'll let everyone know when I'm heading out so you know when to come out.
We might be back out again this Sunday if you heal quick? I'll confirm this Sunday but I'm pretty sure I'll be there, everyone is welcome when ever I am there. If you can't ride just come for a social visit?
I guess basically, any weekend that either Viper, VCM or Mitchell isn't on we'll be out there on a weekend and I want to get out at least once during the week.
I'll always select days that fits in best with the weather, usually a dry day after a slightly wet one so no dust or mud.
-
Yeah it is a bummer John. I've got no idea how long before I can throw a leg over a steed again, but hopefully not too long ::)
Sunday sounds like a plan, even if it is only for a social visit. I'd come for a drive tomorrow but I'm not so keen on driving a manual with one arm!
Anytime you need a hand with working bees, let me know. I'm pretty certain you have bigger plans.......
Cheers
Mark
