Sweeet Maurice. Those mid seventies Kato/Pentons are, to my eyes amongst the prettiest VMX bikes.

WOW, neat resto, one of the coolest bikes ever made.....was it hard getting the bits?

Parts were not too bad to find, the only problem was getting a pipe which still is not completely resolved as the one on there is actually for a GS and doesn't fit quite right

Sweeet Maurice. Those mid seventies Kato/Pentons are, to my eyes amongst the prettiest VMX bikes.

Firko you actually posted the link to this bike on Swapmeet a couple months ago and I decided to buy it.

I actually got offered a 77 400 also when I was looking for parts and ended up buying it also so that will be my next build but it will be an orange Penton when done

There is a local guy who makes pipes for this model that work great if your interested as the postage is a killer.

Great job...I own a 78 MC5 and its one of the most versatile machine in the stable...MX, hare scrambles, enduro ...very competitive in all ....
